About Ceilon Aspensen
Welcome to my art prints website! I am Ceilon Aspensen and I have been a passionate artmaker my entire life. Watercolor painting, drawing with colored pencils, painting in oils and acrylics, have filled me with joy for decades, and sharing my art with you completes that cycle of joy for me.
While most of my art is inspired by the beauty of nature around me, my art is also infused with the experiences of being raised as an Army B.R.A.T. in France and Germany for the first ten years of my life, having spent all of my childhood summers on the family farm in rural Alabama, having lived in Montana since 1989, and several stints in between totaling about ten years in western Maryland and Baltimore. Those diverse cultural experiences, the beautiful landscapes of Germany, rural Alabama, the Rocky Mountain West, the Appalachian Mountains, and the colorful, urban experiences of Baltimore, seeped into me throughout my life and now flow out into my artwork.
My greatest joy and ultimate pleasure are found when collectors find common ground with me in images that I create that also connect with you, personally. It makes me extremely happy to know that my artwork is going into your space where it can inspire you as well.
You can find my artwork here, but you can find me in Billings, Montana these days. In addition to having an art studio in downtown Billings, which I open up for all the local ArtWalks and downtown festivals, I also teach art at Laurel High School just thirty miles west of Billings. I live here with my husband Jonathan, my dog Wiley, and our cat Frankie, situated between seven beautiful mountain ranges and just northwest of Yellowstone National Park. When I am not painting in my studio or teaching the next generation of creative geniuses, you can find me in Bozeman, Montana hanging out with my daughter and two beautiful granddaughters.
