Sunshine and Flowers to Brighten a Friend's Day

Sunshine and Flowers to Brighten a Friend

When was the last time you sent a handwritten note to a friend far away? I recently became reacquainted with my third grade teacher in Munich, Germany, and we have been corresponding using lovely little notecards. My art cards have been flying across the Atlantic Ocean for about two years, now. This revival of an old tradition of hand-written letters spurred me on to do more. With the onset of the pandemic, I began sending handwritten notes in beautiful art cards to my favorite cousins and dear friends far and near. It has been a lovely way to revive an old-school method of intimate communication for so many of us experiencing Zoom burnout. It has also turned out to be a wonderful way to let someone know I am thinking about them, and vice versa. There is something much more special about receiving a hand-written note in a beautiful card placed in an evelope with a stamp that propelled it through the mail from my heart to their door. The effort involved says "I love you and I'm thinking about you," so much more than a quick text or social media post.

You could send some sunshine and flowers, or a beautiful landscape scene, or some loveable furry friends, to one of your dear friends or loved ones far away (or even just across town). If you need a notecard but don't know where to find one, click on the button that says "Click Here for More Information" and you can see all of the ones I have available in my notecard collection here on Fine Art America.
